Diane Amundson & Associates offers many solutions for your business.  Presentations are available on the following topics:

Effective Leadership Communication

What is your thinking and communicating style? Knowing this insightful information will help you be able to speak more effectively by flexing your style to meet the needs of others. It will also help you partner with those who have a style that you need. This understanding will give you a broader perspective on the world of thinking that will dramatically improve your ability to lead and influence others.  This workshop will review the characteristics of leadership by revealing a leadership style inventory that looks at how CEO's and other leaders prefer to think.  With this understanding comes the ability for leadership skill development and leadership coaching.

Humility As A Key Leadership Trait

There are many leadership characteristics that are important in our global economy. For example, having a vision, taking risk and communicating effectively are critical to today's successful leader. However, there appears to be a less visible dimension of leadership that is upstream of vision and communication and that is humility. While Webster's dictionary defines humility as not haughty or pretentious, I define humility in terms of what it is....honesty, modesty, believing in yourself and a greater power, listening and empathizing. Being able to admit when you are wrong and tell the truth is the foundation to being accepted as a leader and drawing successful followers. Along with this honesty comes the modesty to promote others ideas before your own, listening before giving your thoughts and anticipating how others may feel. While all of these sound like characteristics you must be born with, they can be learned. With the use of a humility and leadership skills assessment tool, each person can see where they fall on a continuum of humility.

Conflict Resolution

A successful leader must be seeking to build relationships & knowing how to resolve conflict quickly and effectively will help in maintaining important relationships. A leader must become skilled in understanding the appropriate questions to ask of yourself and others within a conflicting situation that will help diffuse the emotion and lead to a creative solution.

The Management of Power

As a leader, do you find yourself in power plays with others? Successful leaders need to understand the behaviors associated with power plays and how to change them into effective adult behaviors. Visual examples of power struggles will be shown that the leader and others may be using against each other unproductively. Equipped with this knowledge, as a leader you will be a better able to know how and when to equalize the power struggle in an effective way.  Successful leaders need to understand the influence of power in leadership and the behaviors associated with power plays and how to change those into effective adult behaviors.
